Why Support Our Local Businesses?

Respect, work ethics, long hours, passion and positive attitude are the things that come to mind when I hear the words "small business owner". I might think differently than other people about this simply due to the fact that I was raised by parents that always were self employed.  My parents never had a “job”. My parents worked hard than any 9 to 5'er that I have even known. I think they are really the unsung hero's of our communities.

This my friends is the whole purpose of this blog.  I wanted a way to say thanks and show the world that I care about local small businesses.  Of course the business owners have no idea that I am do anything like this for them. I will never tell the business owner about this blog as I am not looking for anything in return. I am just supporting them in the way they support the community.  They say a referral is the highest form of compliemnt for a small business owner. This blog is a way to give them that compliment by referring you to them.  

I am totally a dreamer. My dream for this blog is that I can just stuff it full of posts about the small business owners I meet and or do business with. . This blog is really a win-win-win. The business owner gets some free publicity, you the consumer gets insight into who you should be working with and I get the satisfaction of helping promote a small business that deserves it.  Who knows, maybe this blog will inspire you to do something similar.
